Part-time Teaching Opportunity in Kingston and Rhinebeck!

Catskill Mountain Music Together is seeking charismatic, playful individuals to teach weekly early childhood music and movement classes using the Music Together® curriculum. Comprehensive training, and teaching support will be provided.

Schedule: This is a part-time position - approximately 10-15 hours per week when class in is session (36 weeks per year). We are actively seeking a teacher for Kingston and Rhinebeck, but also accepting applications for teachers who would want to teach in Hudson, Woodstock or Saugerties. We are seeking someone with both weekend and weekday availability. The successful candidate will train and potentially substitute teach in Fall 2026 before taking over established classes in January 2027 during a teacher's personal leave. We are looking for someone who is excited to become a long-term member of our teaching team as our program continues to grow. A minimum one-year commitment required.

Qualifications

• Comfortably sing in tune independently (a capella) within the Music Together range A3 to D5 (note men can sing in their nature octave mirroring this range)
• Move with accurate rhythm
• Love of music 
• Enjoy interacting with young children
• Interest/knowledge of child development
• Comfortable leading groups
• Open to feedback
• Reliable 
• Good communication skills
• In good physical and vocal health to meet the demands of the position. 

Preferred but not required:

• Music reading skills
• Music or education degree
• Ability to play an instrument

Training Requirement: To become a Music Together® teacher, you must complete a 25 hr online training with Music Together Worldwide, and 10-class apprenticeship with one of our experienced teachers.
